What changed
Mandel Group, Inc. has agreed to merge 13 owned and operated multifamily properties valued at over $600 million into Cottonwood Communities, Inc. in exchange for Cottonwood operating partnership units and cash. Twelve property mergers are expected to close in the coming months, while one property’s membership interests were acquired at the end of July. After completion, Cottonwood will own $3.3 billion in assets, including 13,400 apartments in 16 states and 21 markets, and will provide property management for an additional 2,346 multifamily units.
