Extra Space Storage Inc. announced that President Noah Springer will become chief executive officer effective January 1, 2027. Current CEO Joe Margolis will retire at the end of the year and serve as an adviser to the Board of Directors. Springer joined Extra Space in 2006 and was promoted to President on January 1, 2026. Under Margolis, store count grew from 1,400 to more than 4,400 over the past 10 years.
