Context
What happened: Sobi presented late-breaking Phase 3 REDUCE-2 data at ACR Convergence 2026 showing pozdeutinurad (AR882), an investigational once-daily oral URAT1 inhibitor, lowered serum urate in patients with uncontrolled gout.
Key numbers: 811 patients randomized to pozdeutinurad 75 mg, 50 mg or placebo.
Why it matters: The study met its primary endpoint with a safety profile generally comparable to placebo, and investigators said many patients remain inadequately controlled on currently available oral therapies. Sobi called the first presentation of these data an important milestone.
