Trump pitches Trump International Golf Course for site of "presidential retreat"

What happened: President Trump said the Secret Service and military suggested developing Trump International Golf Course in West Palm Beach as a presidential retreat, similar to Camp David. Why it matters: The White House official did not specify whose idea the retreat was first or whose permission is being sought. The Palm Beach Post reported an attorney for the golf course wrote to Palm Beach County commissioners offering to designate the club as a presidential retreat that could also be used by foreign heads of state.
