Microsoft fixes a Windows 11 annoyance as PC revenue declines

Windows 11 right-click menu improvements tied to sliding PC revenue.

Context

What happened: Microsoft is rolling out Windows 11 preview update KB5127936, which adds a "customize menu" button for the right-click menu, plus a Cloud Rebuild recovery option that reinstalls Windows 11 from the cloud. Key numbers: Update KB5127936 is cumulative for Windows 11 versions 26H2 and 25H2. Why it matters: The update addresses a long-standing user complaint about hidden commands and the "Show more options" submenu. Cloud Rebuild behaves more like a fresh install than a repair, since existing applications and files are not included.
